ARIS is a fully automated identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing system. The instrument automatically handles operations of the test plates, including incubation and interpretation. The test plates are incubated in the ARIS automated incubation system. Once the set incubation time is reached, the instrument automatically moves the test plates to the automatic interpretation system for fluorescence result reading, and then the results are transmitted to the SWIN software for analysis, providing the final results.

It can be used to identify common Gram-negative rods, Gram-negative cocci, Gram-positive rods, and Gram-positive cocci.
