The health of the people is an important factor of national prosperity and strength. With the development of Chinas social economy, the diverse and multi-level needs of healthcare service of the people are continuously growing. In recent years, the Party and the State have elevated health and wellness to a national strategy, requiring the provision of all-round, full-cycle health management services for the people.
In order to implement the national strategy of health for all, as one of the provinces long-established and most influential societies - Health Management Branch of Hainan Medical Association gives full play to the role of the platform, and constantly strengthens the development pattern of health management services, and has done a lot of work in the areas of organization building, talent cultivation, academic exchanges, popularization of science and publicity, and services for the people.
Zheng Yin, Executive Chairman of the conference and Chairman of the Health Management Branch of Hainan Medical Association, comprehensively and systematically summarized the work of the Health Management Branch in 2023 and stated the next work plan. Zheng Yin introduced, in recent years, Health Management Branch actively build academic exchange platform, organizing and participating in more than 20 large-scale health management academic activities; walked into the provinces townships and communities, held more than 60 clinics and touring health science publicity activities; undertake and guide the development of the national "health management of chronic diseases - cancer early diagnosis and screening training program", as well as the "National Prevention and Control of Major Chronic Diseases Innovation Pilot Project" and so on.
In terms of precision prevention and control of major chronic diseases such as tumors, the Health Management Branch relies on the Hainan Cancer Hospital to build an integrated diagnosis and treatment system for tumors, forming an integrated mechanism of "prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation", realizing the transformation from "treatment-centered" to "prevention-centered", and providing high-quality medical services as well as actively carrying out the health management work of tumors, so as to provide patients with the full-cycle health management services of tumor prevention, diagnosis and treatment, screening, treatment, and rehabilitation, and to achieve the early diagnosis and treatment of major diseases, so as to move forward the pass of health management.
Zheng Yin emphasized that we should closely integrate with the needs of the construction of the free trade port, actively rely on and give full play to Hainans natural conditions and policies as dual advantages for health management services, bravely explore and gradually establish a health management service system compatible with the construction of the free trade port, to provide strong health support for the construction of the free trade port.
Based on the actual development of Hainan health management, with the theme of "focusing on discipline construction, accurate prevention and treatment of chronic diseases", through two sub-forum platforms of "Discipline Construction and Innovation Development" and "Early screening and Prevention of Cancer" and online and offline communication methods, focusing on "intelligent chronic disease management, health management discipline system construction, early screening and prevention of cancer, physical examination quality control" and other aspects, from different perspectives and different fields, Chairman Guo Qing, Former Director Zeng Qiang, Director-designate member Liu Yuping, Deputy Chairman Song Zhenya and Zhang Qun of Health Management Branch of Chinese Medical Association, provincial and municipal Chairmen Guo Zhiping, Wu Weiqing, Huang Hongwei and more than 30 well-known experts and scholars in the field of health management gathered in Hainan, jointly discuss the experience of chronic disease health management and share new concepts of health management development, jointly drawing a new picture of health management, and providing a new path and new thinking for high-quality health management services in Hainan Free Trade Port.
Mr. Bai Shuzhong, Chairman of the Board of Directors, highly appreciated the contribution made by the Health Management Branch of Hainan Medical Association for the development of Hainans health. He said that since its establishment in 2007, the society has fully integrated expert resources to carry out a large number of effective health management work, creating a "Hainan model” of health management services. He hoped that the society would continue to develop new mechanisms and modes of service, and work with the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the China Health Promotion Foundation to promote the integrated management program of cancer prevention and treatment, focusing on the prevention and treatment of lung cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, hepatocellular cancer and other high incidence cancers, as well as the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases with the "three highs and three co-management", and the gerontological health management program, so that it would make greater contribution to the enhancement of the level of health management in Hainan Province and to the protection of the peoples life and health.
Director Guo Qing introduced the development of the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Association from none to being, from small to large. Professor Guo Qing fully affirmed the achievements of the Health Management Branch of Hainan Medical Association. He pointed out that Hainan has made great progress in the construction of health management disciplines and the comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases.
Wu Shuxiong, Deputy Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Medical Association, fully affirmed the health management branch for the construction of health in Hainan has made positive contributions, and put forward specific requirements to the future development of the Society, he hopes that the Society continues to pay attention to the development of the discipline of the cutting-edge dynamics of the application of digital therapeutics to carry out health management, at the same time, actively carry out the Hainan "2 + 3" health package services and to provide a "new engine” for the high-quality development of Hainans health industry.
Lin Chang stated that the "Health Hainan Action Implementation Plan" sets out the overall goal of providing high-quality healthcare services and high-level health security for all by 2030. The plan also aims to significantly improve the health literacy level of the entire population and achieve an average life expectancy of 82 years. He said that "this academic conference provides valuable learning and communication opportunities for healthcare professionals in our province on updating their health management concepts and standardize chronic disease management services. It is of great importance and significance in promoting the development of our provinces healthcare industry."
On the meeting, Vice President Liu Weisong provided a detailed introduction to the Hainan Cancer Hospitals experience in implementing the "National Colorectal Cancer Prevention, Treatment, and Rehabilitation Health Management Pilot Project". He also mentioned the specific measures taken to comprehensively implement the "prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation" closed-loop management of colorectal cancer.
Vice President Yang Shufen provided a comprehensive introduction to the operation of the Hainan Cancer Hospital and the Hainan Chengmei Hospitals MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) model, as well as the collaborative mechanisms of the multidisciplinary centers for breast tumors, thoracic tumors, gastrointestinal tumors, liver tumors, and geriatric diseases. At the same time, she shared the hospitals experience in building a characteristic service system for the integrated development of the prevention and treatment of tumor and chronic disease by integrating early screening, precise surgical procedures, multidisciplinary standardized treatment, and traditional Chinese and Western medicine rehabilitation services.
The successful hosting of the conference not only provided a valuable platform for learning and communication in health management in our province but also further promoted the cultivation of health management talents, the enhancement of the development of health management disciplines, and the improvement of health management capabilities. It also deepened the close collaboration among experts and scholars in the field of health management, jointly driving the development of our provinces health management industry to new heights.
