In order to fully inspire the enthusiasm of young health care workers to love and work, and fully show the hospital infection prevention and control work, on April 9, Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital successfully held the first "Infection Control Stage, Youth Style" speech competition.
Shi Yaohui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive President of Hainan Cancer Hospital and President of Hainan Chengmei Hospital, attended the speech contest and delivered a speech. He said that the infection control is the "guardian" and "firewall" behind the hospital, is an important guarantee for the occupational safety of health care workers, is an important cornerstone to improve the operational efficiency and quality of medical institutions, and is the main line, bottom line and red line to build a strong hospital infection prevention and control. Participants in this speech activity are from the hospitals various medical and nursing youth backbone force, is the future and hope of the hospital, the whole hospital cadres and workers should be self-confidence and self-improvement, guarding the right innovation, through the speech contest so that the sense of control culture in the clinical work of the roots and germination.
The competitions 11 groups of contestants closely focused on the theme of "Love Infection Control and Fond of Youth." Based on the actual work, combined with their own experience, they expressed their firm pursuit of the ideal of life, showed the original intention, mission inheritance, youth blood of infecton controllers from different perspectives; they talked about the little things in their work, with emotional and touching words. The speech contest was brilliant and climaxed, causing strong resonance and applause from the people present.
After a fierce competition, one first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes were awarded.
Liu Yuehong, the main judge of the speech contest and vice president of Hainan Cancer Hospital, said in his comment that the speech activity is not only a competition, but also provides a platform for medical workers who love the work of infection control to show themselves and spread the concept of infection control, which further stimulates the enthusiasm of the work of infection control and plays a positive role in creating a good atmosphere of infection management in the hospitals to ensure the safety of medical care.
The leaders of the hospital, Yang Shufen, Wang Zhiying, Gao Jiehe, Shi Liu, Niu Tiehong, acted as judges and awarded the prizes to the winners.
Xian Yu Shuming, the chief expert of Office of Disease Prevention and Infection Control (Department of Public Health) of our hospital introduced that the first prize, second prize contestants will represent the hospital to participate the fourth "Infection Control Stage - Youth Style" speech contest held by Hospital Infection Professional Committee, Hainan Provincial Society of Preventive Medicine.
