The Competition had a total of 199 participating teams composed of medical and health institution practitioners and gathered nearly 800 outstanding network security competitors in the national medical industry. Among it, three teams were from Hainan province. Wu Huageng and Zhang Jiyu from the information department of our hospital were selected by the province of Hainan as provincial team member and substitute member with solid network security skills and rich work experience.
Now with the widespread application of medical technologies such as electronic medical records and telemedicine, and concerning the security of medical data which is directly related to the protection of patient privacy and the continuity of medical services, network security has become an important issue that cannot be ignored in the medical and health industry.
It is understood that since 2020, the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China has organized five consecutive sessions of NHINSTC, which has now become the largest network security competition in health industry with the most extensive coverage. Taking network security theoretical knowledge and comprehensive defense of information system as the theme, this competition focuses on the pain point, difficult point and sticking point problems in the network security of the medical and health industry, strengthens the training of network security talents and construction of network security teams, and fully tests participants’ theoretical level and the practical application ability of network security skills, achieving the effect of “innovation, application, communication and improvement through competition”.
In recent years, Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital have been adhering to the concept of “patient as the center, security as the cornerstone” and actively implements national policies related to network security. Based on network information security maintenance, we constantly promote the innovation of network information security technology and monitor the status of network security in real time in order to discover and resolve various security issues as quickly as possible.
This competition not only displays the individual professionalism of the participants, but also reflects the hospitals’ emphasis on network security and information-based construction. The relevant person in charge of the information department of Hainan Cancer Hospital said that they will take the competition as an opportunity to continuously deepen their work on network security, constantly improve the team’s professional quality and skill level to further promote the construction of the hospital’s information and network security, so as to contribute to creating a safe, efficient and convenient medical service environment.
