To commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Hainan First Chengmei Medical Group, through its subsidiaries Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital, jointly collaborated with the Hainan Medical and Elderly Care Health Association on June 30th to organize medical experts to launch a health education and public welfare activity themed "Celebrating July 1st with Medical Hearts towards Our Party" delved into Jinniuling Community. The activity aimed to guide community residents towards establishing a correct health outlook, while promoting the charitable brand image of Chengmei's comprehensive healthcare and disseminating the concept of universal health, contributing to the development of a "Healthy Hainan."

At the free clinic, the Party members as well as healthcare staff patiently inquired about the conditions of the local residents, conducted examinations including blood glucose, and blood pressure levels, offering scientific diagnosis recommendations and personalized treatment plans. Additionally, they distributed health promotion materials, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, ensuring adequate nutrition, and following a regular lifestyle amidst the scorching summer days. They also reminded the residents to promptly seek medical attention upon experiencing any discomfort, complying with the principles of early prevention, early detection, and early treatment of illnesses. The thoughtful service and responsible attitude of these Party member as well as medical staff received unanimous praise from the community.

Mr. Chen has recently been experiencing discomfort in his gastrointestinal tract, frequently plagued by stomachaches. Upon learning that there would be gastrointestinal experts to conduct free clinics, he arrived early at the venue to seek consultation.

Maosong Chen, the Chief Physician of the First Ward, Gastrointestinal Surgery Department, Hainan Cancer Hospital, advised Mr. Chen to adopt a light diet recently to reduce the burden on his stomach and intestines and to arrange for a gastrointestinal endoscopy at his earliest convenience.

It is understood that gastrointestinal tumors account for approximately 50% of malignant tumors among domestic diseases with the highest mortality rate diseases. Nearly 80% of gastrointestinal tumor patients in China are diagnosed at an mid and advanced stage, causing significant losses to families and individuals, and severely affecting the quality of life. Modern medical research has found that gastrointestinal tumors can be detected at an early stage, thereby greatly improving the cure rate and reducing the mortality rate.

Maosong Chen stated that gastroscopy is the most commonly used and most accurate method for the examination of digestive diseases. It not only allows for a direct observation of changes in the mucous membrane of the digestive tract but also enables the collection of biopsies from suspected tissues for pathological examination to aid in diagnosis. Additionally, gastroscopy can be used for minimally invasive treatments, such as polypectomy, digestive tract hemostasis, and the removal of foreign bodies.

Maosong Chen recommends that individuals should conduct regular gastroscopy examinations after the age of 40, and regular colonoscopy examinations after the age of 45.

This free clinic activity has brought health services directly to the public, with party member healthcare staff demonstrating the pioneering and exemplary role of Communists through practical actions, enabling the public to genuinely access high-quality medical services and resources right at their "doorsteps." Hainan First Chengmei Medical Group has consistently organized regular free health clinics, bringing superior medical resources and convenient specialized medical services to the public, providing comprehensive health safeguards for local residents and contributing significantly to the well-being of the broader community.

In addition to hosting health education and public welfare activities to commemorate the "July 1st" anniversary, the Party Committee of Hainan Cancer Hospital has also organized a series of activities to celebrate the 103rd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China, including "Party Secretary Delivering Party Lectures," "Warning Education Theme Party Day," and staff basketball matches.
