On July 19, Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital conducted mid-year work summaries. In the first half of the year, through steadily advancing reforms, the hospital achieved integrated development and significant progress in internal management, service quality, medical quality and safety, patient satisfaction, scientific research and teaching. Chairman Jiang Huicheng, Acting Chairman Guo Qiyong, and other leaders attended the event and delivered important speeches.

Shi Yaohui, the Party Committee Secretary and Executive President of Hainan Cancer Hospital, as well as the President of Hainan Chengmei Hospital, provided a detailed report on key tasks such as hospital restructuring, system development, service quality improvement, talent cultivation, medical quality and safety. He also analyzed the existing issues in the hospital one by one and proposed measures for resolution. At the same time, he also made arrangements for the work in the second half of the year.

Shi Yaohui introduced that in the first half of the year, the hospitals outpatient and emergency patients reached over 110,000, with emergency patients exceeding 23,000, a year-on-year increase of 35%, demonstrating the rapid improvement of the hospitals treatment capabilities and diagnostic service capabilities. At the same time, a specialized outpatient service for tumor patients was established, greatly facilitating patient access to medical care.

Guo Qiyong delivered an important speech

He emphasized medical quality and safety work, proposing the core concept that "development is the ultimate principle." He stressed the need to promote a shift in thinking, return to the essence of hospitals and medical care, advance the "construction of safe hospitals," establish rules and regulations to serve patients. He pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen hospital restructuring, improve management and operational efficiency, and formulate position responsibilities from top to bottom. It is also needed to reduce management processes, lower management costs, improve management efficiency, enhance core competitiveness, and adapt to the future development needs of the hospital.

Guo Qiyong proposed that it is important to advance work in a specialized manner, integrate resources, cultivate a collaborative spirit among departments, and improve work efficiency. And it is also required to guide the development and cultural construction of the hospital through specialized work. We should establish a work atmosphere of "rewarding diligence and punishing laziness, rewarding excellence and punishing poor performance" through performance reforms. By guiding the performance system, we can achieve internal healthy competition and leverage the power of role models to promote hospital development.

Guo Qiyong places special emphasis on daily big data management and proposes a management mindset of "using big data as a foundation, promoting data-driven thinking, and enhancing management level and efficiency" as well as "being market and internal resource-oriented to improve medical efficiency."

Guo Qiyong provided insights on the construction of the "Tumor Integrated Medical Center" and the "Geriatric Integrated Medical Center," hoping to enhance the hospitals core competitiveness through new medical models. He pointed out that the value of a hospital lies in integration. Through integrated thinking, it can bring value to patients and clinical care, enhance the value of medical skills and nursing, drive the development of related disciplines, and realize the value of medical care and the hospital itself.

At the same time, Guo Qiyong put forward new requirements for the hospitals integrated development and the promotion of "first-ask responsibility system," "satisfaction surveys," "painless hospital construction," medical insurance management, and especially for improving the level of medical services.

Jiang Huicheng fully affirmed the hospitals work in the first half of the year. He pointed out that under the leadership of Chairman Guo in the first half of the year, through the joint efforts of the hospitals leadership team, department directors, middle-aged and young backbone staff, and all employees, the hospital achieved relatively good development. He expressed that these achievements were "very hard-earned."

Jiang Huicheng analyzed the current economic development situation with extensive quotations and encouraged everyone to "boost confidence and face the future," promote the integrated development of the hospital, and believe that the hospitals future will definitely be better!

He pointed out with sincere words that the hospital is a team of over 1,000 people. As long as everyone can unite their hearts and minds, think together, and work together, they will definitely overcome difficulties and fully achieve the hospitals development goals.

He positively affirmed the hospitals organizational reforms and performance adjustments in the first half of the year. He sincerely said, "Which hospital that has developed well is not the result of the hard work of all the staff?” He said, “Only when the hospital grows can we all grow together.”

"People are the first investment" is Jiang Huichengs consistent business philosophy. Now, the hospital has implemented performance reforms to ensure that those who work harder and perform better receive more rewards, and every month, employee performance incentives have increased.

The premise of reform is to achieve more pay for more work, better rewards for better performance, and rewarding diligence while punishing laziness." Jiang Huicheng expressed that the purpose of all reforms is for the better development of the hospital and for the better future of over 1,000 employees in the hospital. The hospital will definitely consider comprehensively and definitely adjust the performance to the "most reasonable and fairest state."
