With the attention and expectation of all sectors of society and the eager anticipation of patients, the Department of Orthopedics of Hainan Chengmei Hospital was officially opened on January 2nd. The Acting Chairman of Hainan Chengmei Medical Group, Guo Qiyong, the Party Secretary and Executive Director of Hainan Cancer Hospital, and the President of Hainan Chengmei Hospital, Shi Yaohui, along with the hospital leadership, department heads, and all orthopedic medical staff, jointly witnessed this important moment.
In his speech, Shi Yaohui, the President, expressed his warm congratulations on the opening of the Orthopedic Department. He stated that the opening of the department at the beginning of the New Year in 2025 holds significant meaning for improving the hospitals discipline system and enhancing service capacity. The hospital will fully support the development of the Orthopedic Department, providing necessary resources and guarantees for its growth, and hopes that the orthopedic team will adhere to the hospitals mission, focusing on patients and offering high-quality, efficient, and professional orthopedic care to a wide range of patients.
Wang Kuaisheng, the Director of the Orthopedic Department, introduced the departments overall planning and development direction. The department focuses on trauma and orthopedic diseases, including the diagnosis and treatment of limb joint injuries, fractures, microvascular repair of nerve, vascular, and tendon injuries, hand injuries, treatment of congenital limb deformities, skin flap repair for skin defects, scar plastic surgery, osteoporosis, degenerative spinal diseases, osteoarthritis, lumbar spine diseases, peripheral nerve compression syndromes, and other common conditions.
Additionally, the department will actively promote a multidisciplinary collaborative treatment model, working closely with the hospitals multidisciplinary geriatric medicine center, minimally invasive surgery, cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, and other relevant departments to create personalized treatment plans for patients, reduce risks, improve treatment outcomes, and promote rapid recovery.
In his important speech, Chairman Guo Qiyong stated that the opening of the Orthopedic Department is a specific requirement for Hainan Chengmei Hospitals discipline development and professional growth, marking an important milestone in the hospitals history. It is also a vital step towards enhancing medical service quality, accelerating talent cultivation, and meeting the health needs of the public. In the future, the hospital will adjust and refine its discipline construction according to development strategies and patient needs, continually improving medical technology levels and service quality, leading with advanced medical care, supported by backend security, emergency rescue services, and rehabilitation medicine, to ensure the health of patients and contribute to the "Chengmei" strength for the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
