Welcoming the New Year

As the warm sun heralds the arrival of the Spring Festival, cheerful conversations fill the air! On January 29th, the first day of the Year of the Snake, Hainan Province Tumor Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital were filled with a peaceful and warm festive atmosphere.

Chairman Jiang Huicheng, Vice President Yang Shufen, Gao Jihe, and the heads of medical, nursing, and administrative departments on duty visited the clinical front lines and wards to extend heartfelt New Year wishes to the dedicated doctors and nurses on duty, as well as to inpatients.

Happy New Year, thank you for your hard work!

During the Spring Festival, the hospital remained busy. Chairman Jiang Huicheng visited outpatient halls, emergency medicine department, and inpatient wards, shaking hands and chatting warmly with on-duty medical staff, while also inquiring in detail about the patients conditions and work arrangements. "On this day when families reunite, thank you for putting the collective above your own, and it is your commitment and sacrifice that allow patients to entrust their health with peace of mind," Chairman Jiang expressed with deep emotion and respect.

During the Spring Festival, some patients, due to treatment needs, could not return home to celebrate with their families. Among them was Mr. Ning, aged 54, who was being treated in the gastroenterology department for bile duct stones accompanied by acute pancreatitis. Mr. Nings family relies on farming for a living and has a meager income; they are saving every penny to send their two children to university. This sudden illness has added to their already difficult situation, and Mr. Ning’s eyes were filled with worry about his health condition.

Upon learning about Mr. Nings situation, Chairman Jiang Huicheng approached his bedside and gently reassured him, "Dont worry, focus on your recovery, and strive for an early discharge. If youre facing financial difficulties, we will do our best to help." These heartfelt words gradually eased the frown on Mr. Nings brow.

In the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department of Hainan Chengmei Hospital, most inpatient cases are elderly patients. Among them is 85-year-old Grandma Zhao, who suffers from acute heart failure along with hypertension and other conditions. To receive targeted treatment and alleviate her discomfort, Grandma Zhao was admitted to the cardiac rehabilitation department.

Chairman Jiang Huicheng paid special attention to the health conditions and treatment progress of the elderly patients, stating that the care of senior patients not only tests medical skills but also reflects humanistic concern. "Every elderly person is a treasure for their family. We must provide the most professional and heartfelt care with a high sense of responsibility and patience, allowing them to feel the warmth of home even in the hospital."

Love for Everyone

As the new year begins in warm Hainan, healthcare workers and patients alike welcome the Spring Festival together. It has been reported that Chairman Jiang Huicheng has visited the frontlines of healthcare for ten consecutive Spring Festivals, bringing New Year’s greetings to both medical staff and patients. This commitment has become the warmest memory of the Spring Festival at both hospitals.

"Love for Everyone" is a concept the hospital is dedicated to promoting as part of its humanistic care philosophy. Every year, on the eve of the Lunar New Year, the hospital cafeteria prepares handmade dumplings in advance. On that day, hospital leaders personally deliver steaming dumplings to various clinical and medical departments, visiting and comforting staff and inpatients who are working or receiving treatment on that special night.

"Although were in the hospital, the festive atmosphere is just as vibrant, filled with a sense of celebration and the warmth of home," said the hospitalized patients and medical staff, deeply moved.
