Professor Yang Nong has been deeply engaged in the field of lung cancer diagnosis and treatment for many years. He has always treated every patient with superb medical skills and a high sense of responsibility, earning wide acclaim from patients and colleagues alike with his professionalism and sincerity, and has attracted a large number of fans.
At the beginning of this year, just after celebrating his 70th birthday, Mr. Zhaos peaceful life was disrupted by a diagnosis of lung cancer. "Since I got sick, I have always been nervous and anxious every time I see a doctor," he admitted. "But Professor Yang is different. His professionalism and patience are like a good medicine that gradually soothes the anxiety in my heart."

Doubt: Can one get lung cancer without ever smoking?
Just after the Spring Festival holiday this year, Mr. Zhao experienced shortness of breath. He initially thought it was due to fatigue. However, the medical examination results showed that there was a large amount of fluid in his chest cavity, the pleura was significantly thickened, and a nearly 4-centimeter lesion was found in his right lung.
In March, after a biopsy and a full-body CT scan, Mr. Zhao was diagnosed with invasive lung adenocarcinoma with multiple organ metastases.
The moment Mr. Zhao received the diagnosis, his ears buzzed and his hands and feet turned cold in an instant. He stared at the word "cancer" on the report, feeling confused. "I dont smoke and I rarely even catch a cold. How could I suddenly get such a serious illness?" Looking at his childrens forced calm expressions, his heart ached even more. He was afraid of being a burden to them and couldnt help but deeply worry about the future.
After the diagnosis, Mr. Zhaos children sought medical advice from various sources and even made a special trip to well-known hospitals in the mainland for consultation. The children said that although all the hospitals suggested "targeted drug therapy", there were obvious differences in the details such as the medication plan and treatment cycle.
Just when the family was anxious and restless over the choice of treatment plan, a relative mentioned Professor Yang Nong, a well-known domestic expert in lung cancer diagnosis and treatment who regularly sees patients in Hainan, and suggested they might as well give it a try.
The children immediately went online to look up Professor Yangs information and found that he was highly skilled in medicine, had helped a large number of patients solve difficult problems, and had an excellent reputation.

Specialty: Staged standardized diagnosis and treatment, stable condition
In April, accompanied by his family, Mr. Zhao came to Hainan Cancer Hospital where Professor Yang Nong was seeing patients.
When receiving the patient, Professor Yang Nong carefully analyzed Mr. Zhaos CT images and noticed that there was still a large amount of fluid in the chest cavity that had not been controlled. Then, he patiently inquired about Mr. Zhaos current physical symptoms and discomforts.
Based on the comprehensive imaging examination results and Mr. Zhaos actual physical condition, Professor Yang Nong accurately determined that the most suitable treatment plan at the current stage is the combination of targeted drugs and chemotherapy.
For the challenging issue of pleural effusion, Professor Yang Nong has developed a phased treatment approach - he suggests initially using chemotherapy combined with intrapleural infusion of anti-angiogenic targeted drugs to control the pleural effusion. Once the condition stabilizes, the decision on whether to add local stereotactic radiotherapy will be made based on subsequent examination results.
Stepping out of the consultation room, Mr. Zhaos frown, which had been knitted for many days, finally eased, and the stone that had been weighing on his heart dropped. "Now that there is a treatment direction, I have confidence in the treatment. Im really very grateful to Professor Yang." Now, after following Professor Yang Nongs treatment plan and adhering to the standardized treatment, Mr. Zhaos condition has stabilized.
