On August 19th, Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital held the 8th Physicians Day commendation conference to commend the advanced collectives and individuals who have performed outstandingly in clinical diagnosis and treatment, patient services, and other work.

Jiang Huicheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hainan Cancer Hospital, along with board leaders Xu Minggui, Guo Qiyong, Lin Shiquan, and Cai Meng, Wang Chao, Vice President of Chengmei Medical Group, and Guo Juan, Assistant to the Chairman, as well as leaders from both hospitals, department (division) directors (deputy directors in charge), division head nurses, award-winning individuals, and department representatives, attended the conference. At the scene, led by Zhao Xinkai, the Vice President of the hospital, over 200 physician representatives from both hospitals recited the "Oath of Chinese Physicians" in unison, revisiting the mission of healthcare providers and defending their original aspirations.

At the meeting, Liu Yuehong, the Vice President of the hospital, read out the commendation decision, and all the awards selected, including "The Most Beautiful Physician", "The Most Beautiful Technician", "The Most Beautiful Pharmacist", and "Collective Award for Medical Ethics and Style", were presented.

With sincere original aspirations and unwavering determination to move forward, Zheng Huining, a representative of the award-winning physicians, emotionally shared her personal journey in the work of a psychiatrist, discussing her "feelings" and "achievements" in her work, and revealing her deep sense of belonging to the hospital as her home.

Over the past ten years, this team of physicians, who come from all corners of the country and carry a mission and responsibility, has adhered to the service concept of "patient-centeredness", delved deeply into the front line of clinical practice, tackled technical challenges, and cultivated disciplinary advantages. Following the direction of "medical internalization in surgery, minimally invasive surgery, AI-based medical technology, and precise radiotherapy", they have not only promoted the hospital to become a "pioneer" in tumor prevention and treatment on Hainan Island, but also made positive contributions to the development of Hainans medical industry with tangible diagnostic and treatment results.

As of July this year, Hainan Cancer Hospital has provided medical services to over 1.35 million patients and completed 26,000 third- and fourth-level surgeries. The public welfare services of Hainan Cancer Hospital have yielded fruitful results.

Over the past decade, as the only Grade A tertiary oncology hospital in the province, the medical team at Hainan Cancer Hospital has shouldered the social responsibility and public welfare mission of tumor prevention and treatment in the entire province with its core strength. From leading the establishment of the largest oncology medical consortium in the province (comprising 110 member units) to promoting the deployment of high-quality medical resources, to conducting health education and providing over 500 free medical consultations, the medical team has traveled to communities, villages, Li villages, Miao villages, and even border islands across the island, serving a total of 550,000 people. They have built a provincial tumor prevention and treatment network covering the provincial, municipal, and county levels. For high-incidence cancers, they have provided multiple free screening services and successfully completed the national "Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer in Cities" screening project for seven consecutive years with high quality, advancing the prevention and control process and creating a Hainan model for the whole-process management of tumors from prevention to treatment.
