Spring arrives, and with it comes a surge of momentum, marking the beginning of a new journey.

On March 6th, Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital held their 2025 annual summary and commendation conference. Employees from both hospitals gathered together to summarize their struggles, outline their development blueprints, commend exemplary individuals, and unite their efforts towards progress. At the same time, commendations were given to advanced collectives and individuals who had outstanding performances and remarkable achievements in hospital management, medical services, scientific research, and innovation over the past year.

Jiang Huicheng, the Chairman of Hainan Cancer Hospital, and Guo Qiyong, the Acting Chairman, along with the leaders of the Council, the leadership teams of both hospitals, department (division) directors, deputy directors, head nurses/nurses, and award-winning representatives, attended the conference.

The year 2025 marks the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and also an important historical milestone for the Hainan Free Trade Port to seal its doors and commence operations, as well as the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Hainan Cancer Hospital. All staff members of the two hospitals have united their efforts and forged ahead with determination, achieving solid results in improving medical quality, deepening discipline construction, innovating service models, fulfilling social responsibilities, and making positive contributions to the high-quality development of the health care industry in Hainan Free Trade Port.

In 2025, the hospital saw a total of 248,700 outpatient visits, 47,800 discharged patients, 40,500 emergency service visits, and 70,100 health management service visits... Multiple core operational indicators achieved year-on-year growth, especially since the second half of the year, with significant growth in various key data, showing a strong development trend.

This year, both institutions have been diligently working hard, steadily advancing various key tasks and reaching new heights.

1. Lay a solid foundation for medical safety, and advance academic research and collaboration simultaneously

The two hospitals have focused on medical quality and safety management, benchmarking against the evaluation standards of Class A tertiary hospitals and deepening the implementation of these standards. By emphasizing medical record quality, standardizing pharmaceutical management, strengthening hospital infection prevention and control, and upgrading the standardized diagnosis and treatment model for tumors, as well as focusing on special actions for safe production and improving equipment support levels... they have comprehensively optimized the comprehensive management and service quality of the hospitals.

Meanwhile, we have deepened the collaborative development between the university and its affiliated hospitals, officially established the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Hainan Medical University, and embarked on the fast track of integrating medical education, research, and clinical practice. Through breakthroughs in scientific research and innovation, the simultaneous improvement in both quantity and quality of clinical trials, and the collaborative advancement of academic teaching, we have significantly enhanced the discipline's connotation, core competitiveness, and regional influence.

2. Deep integration of nursing humanities and continuous enrichment of service connotation

Deepen the essence of specialized nursing, deeply cultivate the practice of humanistic care services, comprehensively enhance the efficacy of patient assessment and intervention, promote the widespread implementation of standardized nursing processes, and practice the concepts of "painless hospital" and "vomiting-free ward"... Strive to create a nursing culture that is warm and profound, continuously improving the patient's medical experience.

3. Fine management for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, with effective enhancement of information security

Establish a comprehensive medical insurance compliance management system, relying on regular supervision to achieve source risk prevention and control; accurately implement medical service pricing policies, strengthen early warning; increase investment in informatization and intelligence, empower hospital management through digital transformation, independently develop multiple systems, continuously strengthen the information security defense line, and systematically improve the overall operational efficiency and service quality of the hospital.

4. Public service demonstrates commitment, brand culture promotes development

Focusing on national major public health projects, we have solidly promoted tumor prevention and treatment work, and completed high-quality public welfare projects such as national urban cancer early diagnosis and treatment, and upper gastrointestinal cancer screening, demonstrating the hospital's sense of responsibility and commitment.

We persist in simultaneously strengthening brand building and cultural enhancement, showcasing our promotional achievements on CCTV News and Hainan News, and achieving remarkable success in the comprehensive health science popularization matrix. We reinforce the leadership of party building, continuously optimize medical ethics and style, enrich employee care and cultural activities, and inject strong humanistic momentum into the high-quality development of the hospital.

On behalf of the Council, Acting Chairman Guo Qiyong expressed sincere gratitude to all the staff who had worked diligently over the past year, warm congratulations to the award-winning collectives and individuals, and delivered an important speech.

The year 2026 marks a crucial year for the hospital's transformation and development, and it is even more significant as a pivotal year for breaking new ground. The entire hospital must seize the historical opportunity presented by the accelerated development of the medical and health industry in the Free Trade Port. Yu Shuyong pointed out that over the past year, the entire hospital has overcome difficulties, forged ahead, broken new ground in challenges, and achieved results through hard work. He hoped that everyone in the hospital would take honor as motivation, be problem-oriented, focus on patient needs and medical quality, continue to deepen their expertise, enhance their professional abilities, strengthen the connotation of disciplines, improve service quality, deepen operational reforms, and strive to write a more brilliant new chapter for the hospital's next decade!

At the meeting, Gao Jihe, Vice President of the hospital, announced the commendation decisions, and the award-winning collectives and individuals, including "the most exemplary functional team, the most exemplary department head, the most exemplary employee, the exemplary individual in grassroots free clinics, and the award for scientific research innovation and outstanding achievements," all came to the stage to receive their awards.

Cheng Xingang, the representative of "the Most Beautiful Workers" and the supervisor of medical insurance at the medical insurance office, emotionally shared his work experience of taking root in the front line of medical insurance and safeguarding patients' rights and interests, revealing his sincere original intention of working together with the hospital to promote growth.
