Hainan Chengmei Hospital plans to hire and train about 10 advanced practice nurses initially to establish the first “APN” nursing team in Hainan. They will accompany patients with mobile nursing, participate in "five division rounds" and nursing consultation, and develop personalized level of nursing services for patients, including Enhanced Recovery after Surgery(ERAS), Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) prevention, cancer pain management and other projects, forming multidisciplinary cooperation and closed-loop management to help patients with physical and mental rehabilitation.

Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a registered nurse with abundant expertise, the ability of decision-making on complex issues, and the ability to expand clinical practice. They should be nurses that are able to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the care recipients, have a high degree of autonomy, master expert knowledge and skills, and can diagnose and deal with the existing or potential health problems of individuals and families; Make clinical decisions about acute or chronic health problems and promote patient recovery; be able to combine education, research, management, etc. in clinical practice and build teamwork with other medical professionals.
