May's warmth and fragrance uplift the spirits, and the white-clad nurses spread health and wellness. As the 2026 "5·12" International Nurses' Day approaches, to honor the hard work of all nursing staff, further disseminate health knowledge, enhance public health literacy, enrich hospital cultural life, and foster a positive, warm, and harmonious hospital atmosphere, our hospital's Nursing Department, in collaboration with the Labor Union, has carefully planned and organized a fun science knowledge quiz activity. Themed "Angels Protect Health, Science Popularization Benefits All", this event combines education with entertainment to bridge the gap between doctors and patients, convey health knowledge through fun quizzes, and present a lively and interesting Nurses' Day special event for all medical staff, inpatients, and their families.
The event site was decorated in a simple yet elegant manner, creating a strong atmosphere. The foam display board for the event theme was eye-catching and clear, with three question boxes neatly arranged. The venue decoration was warm and cheerful, and the clean and tidy activity area attracted many people to stop and participate. The event gifts were practical and thoughtful, including daily necessities such as paper towels, towels, and umbrellas, which combined practicality with commemorative significance, allowing every participant to receive a full and heartwarming benefit.
This knowledge quiz features an innovative three-tiered fun challenge mode, scientifically dividing the difficulty levels. The question bank is rich and comprehensive, containing a total of 240 science popularization questions. Among them, the basic level includes 120 easy-to-understand questions that are closely related to daily health knowledge for the general public; the intermediate level features 60 moderately difficult questions that cover common disease prevention and basic medical knowledge; and the challenge level consists of 60 more specialized questions, including first aid skills and specialized health knowledge, fully meeting the quiz needs of different groups of people. Everyone can participate and gain something from it.
The event was bustling with people, creating a lively atmosphere, and the participants were in high spirits. Patients, their families, medical staff from various departments, and staff from functional departments queued up in an orderly manner and eagerly answered the questions. Everyone carefully read the questions, thought calmly, and discussed popular science knowledge with each other. The scene was orderly, and laughter and joy were constantly heard. Many participants, still feeling unsatisfied after completing the challenges, took the initiative to join the answering team again, immersing themselves in the fun of popular science. The easy-to-understand questions, relaxed and joyful atmosphere, and simple and interesting challenge format made the on-site crowd express that the experience of the event was excellent and the practicality of popular science was strong.
The science popularization knowledge quiz activity was smooth and highly interactive, popularizing health knowledge through innovative and fun quiz formats, breaking the traditional and monotonous mode of science popularization. It not only created a strong and warm atmosphere for Nurses' Day, alleviated the work pressure of medical staff, enriched the cultural life of employees, but also built a platform for positive interaction between doctors and patients, enhancing communication and narrowing the distance between them.

The 5·12 Nurses' Day Science Popularization Knowledge Contest further promotes the spirit of Florence Nightingale, highlights our hospital's humanistic care service philosophy, fosters a hospital culture atmosphere filled with love, warmth, and strength, and effectively enhances the happiness of employees and the sense of medical access for the public. In the future, Hainan Cancer Hospital will continue to deeply engage in the cause of health science popularization, regularly carry out diversified activities benefiting the people, protect lives with professionalism, heal hearts with warmth, and use practical actions to safeguard public health.
