March 21st is World Sleep Day. For ordinary people, sleep is a daily routine; but for hospitalized patients, falling asleep peacefully is a rare comfort. Nights in the ward are often not quiet - unfamiliar environment, uninterrupted treatment, worries about the condition, longing for family members... Every little bit of anxiety makes it difficult to fall asleep. And we know that good sleep has always been the gentlest force on the road to recovery.

In order to help more patients experience less frustration and more tranquility on their treatment journey, the nursing department, in collaboration with the psychological nursing specialist team, meticulously organized a science popularization event themed "Scientific Sleep Assistance, Enjoying Peace and Health". Some members of the hospital's psychological nursing team, as well as representatives of patients and their families, participated in this event.

The event was devoid of rigid preaching or stiff propaganda. Everyone sat together, chatting like family, sharing their troubles of "not sleeping well" during hospitalization, and exchanging practical tips for creating a comfortable sleep environment in the ward. From lighting, temperature, sound to emotional regulation, every aspect catered to the patients' most genuine needs. We aimed to deliver genuine care to the patients' hearts through an event that was warm, professional, and humane.

The most special part of this event was undoubtedly the immersive relaxation training brought by the psychological care specialist team. Under gentle guidance, everyone followed the breathing to slowly calm down, let go of tension and anxiety, and truly felt their body and mind being gently enveloped in a moment of tranquility. Many patients expressed their feelings on the spot, saying that they had not "relax" so seriously for a long time, and their tense body and mind had finally been soothed.

In addition to immersive relaxation experiences, a series of simple and practical sleep-aid tips were also compiled at the event site, which can be easily applied to both hospital rest and home conditioning. It is hoped that this sense of peace and comfort will not only linger in the hospital for a moment, but also accompany everyone home for a long time.

The entire event was filled with a warm and healing atmosphere. The patients actively participated and shared their thoughts sincerely. The compliments like "very thoughtful" and "very warm" were the greatest recognition for our nursing work. We also became more convinced that the best nursing care goes beyond precise treatment; it's about making patients feel truly cared for and protected when they are vulnerable and helpless.

High-quality sleep is the cornerstone of recovery; humanistic care is the warmth of medical care. This hospital-level sleep-themed science popularization activity is not only a vivid practice of our hospital's deepening of high-quality nursing services but also a most simple implementation of the "patient-centered" service concept. In the future, we will continue to adhere to our original aspiration as medical practitioners, continuously leverage the professional advantages of the psychological nursing specialist team, deeply explore patient needs, and carry out more heartfelt, warm, and attentive health services. We will use our professionalism to safeguard health, use companionship to warm the long nights, and ensure that every patient in the hospital can be treated gently, sleep well every night, and recover with peace of mind.
