The spring breeze brings warmth, filling the courtyard with warmth and affection. Relying on the opportunity of the National Cancer Prevention and Control Publicity Week, and on the occasion of the 115th International Nurses' Day, in order to deeply practice the service concept of "patient-centered", convey the warmth of humanistic nursing, and narrow the psychological distance between nurses and patients, our hospital's nursing department carefully organized a "Listening to You, Warming My Heart" patient story sharing session. This sharing session abandoned the traditional stage and adopted a cozy round-table seating arrangement, allowing nurses and patients to face each other and connect heart to heart. The persistence and emotion, trust and warmth in the ward slowly flowed at this moment.

At the beginning of the event, the host extended sincere gratitude to the leaders, nursing colleagues, and especially every patient and family member who participated in this sharing session. Thank you for opening up and sharing the hardships and resilience on the road to fighting cancer. Thank you for your understanding, trust, and tolerance along the way, which has given nursing work more direction and strength.
This sharing session was devoid of flowery rhetoric, filled only with genuine expressions; devoid of any sense of distance, filled only with warm companionship. After the charge nurse briefly introduced the diagnosis and treatment process, the patients and their families walked forward one by one, sharing their personal experiences and heartwarming moments that were etched in their memories. The original intention of humanistic nursing shone brightly through these stories.
The story is told through sound, while the guardian remains silent
Each paragraph strikes a chord in people's hearts
Aunt Chen, a 67-year-old patient with liver cancer, received treatment at our hospital. Her husband accompanied her throughout the entire process, providing steadfast support and meticulous care. This exemplifies that family support is the strongest force in fighting illness, and together with the medical team, they have built a line of defense for the patient's life.
Aunt Zhang (pseudonym), a 61-year-old cervical cancer patient, has undergone more than three and a half years of treatment, experiencing professional care and humanistic attention throughout the process. She highly recognizes the nursing services provided by our hospital.
Two aunts with breast cancer were diagnosed at the same time. From chemotherapy, surgery to radiotherapy, they accompanied and encouraged each other all the way, shared meals, and weathered difficulties together, becoming the inseparable "heartwarming duo" in the ward. They were grateful for every gentle reminder and tender comfort from the nurses. Their story vividly demonstrated the warm power of peer support, the constant companionship of heartwarming care, and after recovery, they even actively joined the mutual support team, continuing to pass on this kindness. The simplest nurse-patient companionship, the most touching mutual trust, warmth is never a one-way effort.
Uncle Zhang, a 62-year-old patient with liver cancer, was diagnosed with liver cancer in February 2018 at an external hospital. After comparing various hospitals both inside and outside the province, he ultimately chose to undergo surgery at our hospital. He has been living with the tumor for 8 years now. Behind his 43 hospital admission records lies his full trust in local medical technology, medical environment, and nursing services. He praises our hospital's medical staff with his personal experience.
Two patients with uremia have chosen to receive treatment at our hospital for a long time due to its excellent environment, meticulous care, and convenient measures. The thoughtful and attentive service adds warmth to their regular treatment, which is the most genuine affirmation of our high-quality nursing care.
Aunt Zhuang, who underwent rectal cancer surgery a year ago, is recovering well and is about to return to work. She emotionally called for early screening and treatment, spreading the positive message of facing illness and loving life.
Aunt Chen, 57 years old, had been unable to walk due to pain in her left knee for three years. After undergoing systematic rehabilitation treatment and personalized care, she regained the ability to walk and regained confidence in life.

Each true story, each sincere word, and each tear shed in emotion have left a deep imprint in everyone's heart. From perseverance on the road to fighting cancer to mutual assistance during recovery; from initial anxiety and uncertainty upon diagnosis to firm trust in the medical team, every experience embodies the most sincere emotional connection between nurses and patients, as well as high recognition for quality nursing services.

"Mutual efforts, nurse-patient solidarity"
Pay tribute to every angel in white
At the end of the event, Jiang Bei, the Deputy Director of the Nursing Department, delivered a concluding speech on the sharing session. She first expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all patients and their families for their sincere sharing and trust. Deputy Director Jiang stated that nursing is not just about professional technical operations, but also about the transmission of love and the protection of the soul. Patients entrust their lives to us, and we must keep our responsibilities; patients respond with trust and smiles, and we must respond with professionalism and warmth.

In the future, our hospital will always adhere to our original intention of humanistic nursing, providing more exquisite technology, more attentive service, and warmer companionship, serving as the strongest support for patients on their health journey, and guarding every bit of health and hope with love and responsibility.
On this 115th International Nurses Day, I pay tribute to all nursing colleagues: Happy Nurses' Day! May you all be safe, successful, happy, and healthy! I also wish every patient friend a speedy recovery and a bright future!
