To enhance the clinical emergency response capabilities of nursing staff across the province and improve their ability to analyze and handle specialized nursing cases, the 2026 Nursing Simulation Case Comprehensive Skills Competition, hosted by the Hainan Provincial Nursing Association, came to a successful conclusion from April 17th to 18th, 2026. The representative teams from Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital stood out among 63 participating teams across the province, thanks to their solid professional foundation, proficient practical skills, and harmonious team collaboration. They ultimately achieved second and third place awards in the neurological assessment category, fully demonstrating the professionalism and exceptional strength of the nursing teams from both hospitals.
This event is of high standard, wide coverage, and strong professionalism, bringing together 32 nursing backbones from second-tier hospitals and 31 from third-tier hospitals across the province. Focusing on real clinical simulation cases, participants competed in core abilities such as disease analysis, emergency rescue, and humanistic care, providing a comprehensive review of the comprehensive strength of the nursing team in the province.
The leaders of both hospitals attached great importance to this competition. Vice President Wang Zhiying coordinated and deployed the preparation work, providing guidance throughout the training and competition participation. During the preparation period, both hospitals established a professional guidance team and built a comprehensive preparation support system: Doctor Chen Xinyan from the Intensive Care Unit, Head Nurse Yang Nan from the Respiratory Medicine Department, and Head Nurse Lin Xiaozhen from the Rehabilitation Department were responsible for physical examination guidance; Head Nurse Huang Guifang from the Neurosurgery Department and Head Nurse Wang Tingting from the Operating Room refined practical operation details; Head Nurse Ju Mi from the Intensive Care Unit led the case analysis guidance. All preparation personnel concentrated their efforts, tackled problems day and night, carried out full-process special training, and prepared to face the challenge.
At the event, numerous talents gathered and competed. The Provincial Tumor Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital each formed teams to participate. Among them, the Provincial Tumor Hospital team was guided by Head Nurse Wei Wei, with Head Nurse Lai Min from the Oncology Department I, Head Nurse Zhang Shuli from the Emergency Department, and Nurse Yao Yuying from the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department I collaborating closely, ultimately securing the third prize for the team; the Hainan Chengmei Hospital team was guided by Deputy Director of the Nursing Department Jiang Bei, with Nurse Xie Qin from the 5A Nursing Unit, Head Nurse Yang Qiyan from the 6A Nursing Unit, and Nurse Cai Zibei from the 5B Nursing Unit competing bravely, and won the second prize for the team.

This competition serves not only as a platform for skill competition but also for mutual learning and appreciation. It not only showcases the professional prowess of the nursing teams from both hospitals but also highlights the remarkable achievements in the high-quality development of nursing work in both institutions.
