For a long time, the high incidence of lung cancer, esophageal cancer and other chest tumors has seriously endangered peoples health. In recent years, advances in minimally invasive thoracoscopic techniques, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and especially da Vinci surgical robotics have brought more, safer and more effective options for thoracic tumor treatment. In particular, the combination of multiple treatments provides better treatment benefits for patients with malignant tumors.
In order to better promote and exchange cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment technology, promote the standardized and precise development of chest tumor treatment in Hainan, and make the patients in Hainan FTZ more beneficial, this chest tumor conference invited domestic famous lung cancer oncologist, Professor Wang Changli, Director of Tianjin Lung Cancer Diagnosis and treatment Center, Director of Chest Tumor Center and Academic Committee of Hainan Cancer Hospital, as well as leaders from Hainan Cancer Hospital, Hainan Provincial Peoples Hospital, Hainan Medical College Haikou Peoples Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College, Sanya Central Hospital, Wenchang Peoples Hospital, Wanning Peoples Hospital, Danzhou Peoples Hospital and other units of thoracic oncology discipline leaders to make an academic sharing together.
For reasons of epidemic prevention and control, Wang Changli offer a lecture remotely by video. He gave detailed lectures on neoadjuvant immunotherapy and the standardized operation of da Vinci robotic surgery by combining his personal practical experience. Wang Changli is a famous thoracic oncologist in China, who is quite accomplished in da Vinci robotic surgical treatment. He explained in detail how to make use of the robots 3D high-definition field of vision and flexible and robust operation mode to maximize its precise and minimally invasive advantages and achieve precise tumor removal by combining his own experience of "operating" for many years with surgical videos.
Wang Changli described the practice of neoadjuvant immunotherapy to create surgical treatment opportunities for patients with locally advanced disease. He hopes to combine the development of robotic technology to achieve more precise minimally invasive surgery and enhance the "combination treatment" of chest tumors, so that more patients can benefit from the advanced treatment technology.
Experts attended also shared and discussed the latest experience of targeted therapy and immunotherapy on "Adjuvant targeted therapy for EGFR mutation positive", "First-line treatment for EGFR positive advanced stage" and "Pablizumab opens a new generation of first-line treatment for advanced esophageal cancer", combining domestic and international data and abundant clinical experience, with the aim of maximizing the benefits of patients with standardized, safe and effective treatment methods.
The diagnosis and treatment of thoracic tumors is difficult and complex, and the multidisciplinary treatment model could help to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Hainan Cancer Hospital established the Chest treatment Center at the end of last year and hired Professor Wang Changli to be in charge of the center and provide long-term support such as expert consultation, surgical guidance, scientific research and teaching. The center integrates multidisciplinary experts from chest surgery, respiratory, imaging, radiotherapy, Chinese medicine, medical oncology, rehabilitation and specialized nursing to set up a specialized pulmonary nodule clinic and a multidisciplinary chest tumor clinic, and organize a special MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) to realize "integrated" precise diagnosis and treatment services for patients with lung cancer and other chest malignancies.
Since its establishment, the Chest treatment Center has made full use of expert resources to provide patients with quality treatment services, while providing regularly organizing multidisciplinary case discussions and academic exchanges, it also carries out clinical research on chest tumors, collaboration of lung cancer prevention and treatment, public welfare activities such as health education, publicity, charity clinics of new drug clinical trials and other scientific research collaborations, helping to achieve standardization, standardization and precision development of treatment of lung cancer and other chest malignant tumor of Hainan Province.
Hainan Chengmei Hospital and Hainan Cancer Hospital are built next to each other, forming a complementary development pattern of "one area and two hospitals", and providing patients with better medical services through strong alliance.
