On August 19th, Hainan Cancer Hospital/Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Hainan Medical University and Hainan Chengmei Hospital held the 9th Physicians' Day commendation conference to commend the advanced collectives and individuals who have performed outstandingly in clinical diagnosis and treatment, patient services, and other work.

Jiang Huicheng, the chairman of the hospital's board of directors, paid high tribute to all the doctors fighting on the front line and extended warm congratulations to the award-winning teams and individuals. From its initial establishment to its steady rise, the hospital has won the trust and reputation of numerous patients with its superb medical skills and heartwarming services. Every leap forward on its development path has been achieved with the sweat and perseverance of all the doctors.

Based on the overall trend of free trade port development, Chairman Jiang Huicheng profoundly pointed out that the hospital is currently in a crucial strategic period of tackling key issues, where opportunities and challenges coexist. Only by adhering to the enterprising attitude of "striving for technology, quality, service, and connotation", actively seeking change, and facing difficulties head-on, can we seize the development opportunities in the era of change. He systematically outlined four key paths: building a solid "lifeline" of quality and safety, winning the "tough battle" of Grade A re-evaluation, activating the "new engine" of digital transformation, and honing the "hard skills" of technical and service dual drive.

Yu Shuyong, the President of the hospital, made a mobilization and deployment for the work of the entire hospital. The hospital must firmly anchor on the core main line of improving quality and efficiency, and fully activate the driving force for development. He required all physicians to focus on shortcomings, target key challenges, and strive for tangible results. They should make precise efforts and break through the situation from four dimensions: time efficiency improvement, space activation, project quality enhancement, and mechanism empowerment. At the scene, led by Zhou Kailun, the director of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Department, over 200 physician representatives from the two hospitals recited the "Oath of Chinese Physicians" in unison. The solemn oath echoed throughout the venue, "I voluntarily dedicate myself to the cause of human health and consciously uphold the dignity and sanctity of medicine...".

At the meeting, Gao Jihe, the Vice President of the hospital, announced the commendation decisions, and all the awards selected, including "The Most Beautiful Physician", "The Most Beautiful Technician", "The Most Beautiful Pharmacist", and "The Best Collective Award", were presented.

Wang Huan, a representative of award-winning physicians and a staff member in the second oncology inpatient ward, shared her confusion and growth during the early stages of her career. She expressed her gratitude to the hospital platform for providing her with opportunities for growth and to her department for its meticulous nurturing through mentoring and coaching. She also stated that she would continue to work hard together with the hospital and realize the value of a doctor in serving patients.

Leaders of the Board of Directors of Hainan Cancer Hospital, including Lin Shiquan, Xu Minggui, Cai Meng, Jiang Qianqian, and Wang Chao, as well as leaders, experts, department (division) directors (deputy directors in charge), department head nurses, award-winning individuals, and department representatives from both hospitals, attended the conference. The commendation conference was presided over by Vice President Liu Yuehong.
