On
September 12th, the Minimally Invasive Intelligent Orthopedic Center of Hainan
Chengmei Hospital was unveiled and established.
The
center has specially invited the team of Professor Zhang Xianlong, a renowned
joint surgery expert in China, to provide minimally invasive intelligent
orthopedic diagnosis and treatment services that are in sync with international
standards for patients in Hainan and even the whole country, relying on the
world-leading Mako intelligent robotic orthopedic system. At the unveiling
ceremony, Jiang Huicheng, the chairman of the board of directors of Hainan
Cancer Hospital, presented Professor Zhang Xianlong with an appointment letter
as the "Honorary President of Hainan Chengmei Hospital".
As a high-end international tertiary hospital in Hainan, Hainan Chengmei Hospital precisely targets the international medical service needs of the Free Trade Port and builds a minimally invasive intelligent orthopedic specialty platform with a high starting point and high standards. The center has assembled an expert team centered around Professor Zhang Xianlong, with Professor Wang Kuai-sheng, a renowned orthopedic expert in the province, leading the clinical team.
Professor Zhang Xianlong has been deeply involved in the field of joint surgery for many years and is a pioneer and promoter of robot-assisted joint replacement technology in China. He has accumulated profound clinical experience and technical expertise in complex malformation joint replacement, challenging revision surgeries, and the diagnosis and treatment of difficult bone and joint diseases.
Currently,
digital intelligent technology is reshaping the modern medical system, and
orthopedic diagnosis and treatment have entered a new stage of precision,
minimization, intelligence, and rapid recovery. The minimally invasive
intelligent orthopedic center, centered around intelligent surgical robots and
integrating advanced technologies such as preoperative three-dimensional
intelligent planning, intraoperative real-time navigation, and precise robotic
arm manipulation, can achieve sub-millimeter precision in joint replacement
osteotomy, ensuring safer and more precise surgeries, lighter postoperative
pain, and faster recovery. The establishment of the minimally invasive
intelligent orthopedic center at Hainan Chengmei Hospital will further enhance
the hospital's capabilities in robot-assisted hip and knee replacements,
single-condyle artificial joint replacements, complex primary hip replacements,
as well as the treatment of various bone traumas and chronic bone diseases,
promoting standardized and refined upgrades in the diagnosis and treatment of
regional complex orthopedic diseases.
Chairman
Jiang Huicheng expressed that he has been eagerly anticipating the
establishment of the Minimally Invasive Intelligent Orthopedic Center. Due to
the unique geographical location of Hainan, patients face high costs when
seeking medical treatment outside the island. Providing high-quality medical
care at the doorstep of the people is the hospital's steadfast mission. In the
future, he looks forward to deepening cooperation with Professor Zhang
Xianlong's team in areas such as talent training and technical assistance. At
the same time, relying on the platform of the Boao Lecheng International Medical
Tourism Pilot Zone, they will collaborate to introduce international
cutting-edge orthopedic new drugs and medical devices, benefiting more patients
within the island.
Professor Zhang Xianlong stated that the establishment of the Minimally Invasive Intelligent Orthopedic Center is a pragmatic measure taken by the hospital to actively respond to the "Healthy China 2030" strategy and address the pain points of the public in seeking medical treatment for "serious illnesses outside the island". In the future, the expert team will focus on building four sub-specialty platforms: joint minimally invasive surgery, spinal minimally invasive surgery, trauma minimally invasive surgery, and sports medicine, to construct a full-cycle orthopedic diagnosis and treatment system. They will actively collaborate with orthopedic colleagues across the province to jointly build and share resources, and work together to promote the quality improvement and upgrading of Hainan's orthopedic medicine.
Professor
Yu Shuyong, President of Hainan Chengmei Hospital, stated that the
establishment of the Minimally Invasive Intelligent Orthopedic Center has
further improved the hospital's orthopedic disease treatment system, filled the
regional gap in intelligent minimally invasive orthopedic technology, and will
unite the entire hospital's efforts to strengthen discipline construction,
talent cultivation, and technological innovation. By continuously optimizing
diagnosis and treatment services, the hospital aims to provide high-quality
medical care to safeguard the health of the people in the Free Trade Port.
After the unveiling ceremony, the attending leaders and experts held a special symposium to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on key tasks such as talent introduction, team building, technological innovation, and brand development for the Minimally Invasive Intelligent Orthopedic Center. They clarified the high-quality development path for the center, which is professional, refined, and branded, laying a solid foundation for the construction of a highland for intelligent minimally invasive orthopedics in the Free Trade Port.
