A brief introduction to joint health
As people age, the cartilage in the hip and knee joints of the human body gradually undergoes degeneration and wear. Daily bad habits can also accelerate joint wear and tear. Practicing good daily maintenance can help delay joint aging.
Tips for daily joint maintenance
Maintain a reasonable weight: Excess weight can increase the load pressure on the hip and knee joints. Scientific weight management can reduce the burden on the joints.
Choose the right exercise: Prioritize low-impact exercises such as slow walking on flat ground, swimming, and Tai Chi; minimize frequent activities like climbing hills, climbing stairs, and squatting with heavy loads; exercise should be based on the premise of not causing pain in the joints.
Keep joints warm: Joints have less subcutaneous fat, so avoid direct exposure to cold air from air conditioning. Protect hip and knee joints from cold to reduce discomfort caused by coldness, such as soreness and swelling.
Avoid prolonged static posture: Do not sit or stand for extended periods. Get up and engage in moderate activities every 40-60 minutes to promote the circulation of joint synovial fluid.
The presence of these signals suggests seeking medical evaluation in a timely manner
If you or your family members have long-term discomfort in the hip and knee joints, osteoarthritis pain, joint mobility impairment, or post-operative joint-related issues, please make an appointment in advance and arrange your visit time reasonably.
