"Director, is there enough people to support nucleic acid sampling tomorrow? If not, I will join!” On the evening of August 6, Xing Zhenming, a hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon at Hainan Cancer Hospital who was resting at home, took the initiative to issue a "petition" after learning that there was an emergency support for nucleic acid sampling in the Wechat work group.
At 6 a.m., Xing Zhenming got up and washed his face, rushed to the hospital, and accepted the nucleic acid sampling task of the day with colleagues.
Early in the morning, when people were still immersed in their weekend sleep, the "big white" were ready to go to the designated nucleic acid sampling sites to carry out nucleic acid sampling work.
When the hospital received the nucleic acid sampling task, it would be in weekend. After the task information is released in the internal work group, everyone takes the initiative to participate in the war except the personnel on duty. Even those who just got off the night shift also signed up to participate in nucleic acid sampling work, and the organizational department had to "persuade them" one by one.
Throat probing, wiping, sample collecting... "Big White” repeated the same action for countless times from early morning to late night. Wang Guiquan, head of the Medical Department, introduced that in order to ensure high quality and efficient completion of nucleic acid sampling support tasks, the hospital has specially formulated a work plan, and required all medical personnel to be on standby 24 hours a day, ready to go to the frontline of the epidemic, and ensure that emergency personnel arrive at the designated assembly location of the hospital within an hour.

In August, the weather of Hainan is uncertain, sometimes its sunny, sometimes there would be heavy rain. At each nucleic acid sampling site, under the simple tent, fully armed medical personnel overcome the impact of high temperature and rainy weather, and methodically conducted nucleic acid testing samples for citizens. The citizen sat in front of the medical staff, removed the mask, cooperated with the medical staff to collect the throat swab, and left, the whole process would be finished less than a minute.
“Thank you so much for your effort!” Ms. Wang, who is responsible for coordinating the sampling point of Ziyuan A Zone in Tianhai Community, Haixiu Street, highly recognized the work of the doctors and nurses, she said: "For the health of everyone and the peace of the whole society, every time there is an epidemic, the doctors and nurses are always in the forefront, working hard with chariness and responsibility.”
She carefully prepared ice cubes and fans to keep doctors and nurses in charge of sampling cool. At noon, Ms. Wang contacted a nearby rest place to let the rotating medical staff get a short rest.
Every time facing with the fierce epidemic, the medical care staff of Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital have been fearless of risks, adhered to the original heart, and acted following the order, which has become the most beautiful scenery on the front line of the normal anti-epidemic.
According to statistics, in the past year alone, Hainan Cancer Hospital and Hainan Chengmei Hospital have sent thousands of medical staff (times) to participate in the unified anti-epidemic action inside and outside the province, including supporting nucleic acid sampling in Haikou, the designated nucleic acid sampling in the second World Expo, nucleic acid sampling in the pavilion of the Grand Shopping Plaza and Xingmao Shopping Plaza, and supporting nucleic acid testing in Sanya and Xuwen laboratories. It has acted and practiced the mission and responsibility of medical workers in the new era with practical actions.
