1. Scope of diagnosis and treatment
(1) The department primarily performs robot-assisted artificial joint replacement (hip, knee, and unicompartmental) surgeries, including initial complex hip replacements for conditions such as ankylosed hip, sequelae of pyogenic hip, post-acetabular fracture, congenital hip dysplasia (high dislocation), etc.; initial complex knee replacements for conditions such as severe varus and valgus deformities, flexion contracture deformities, ankylosed knee, Charcot joint disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and other severe deformities caused by other diseases, as well as total knee replacements for obese patients with high BMI; and revision hip/knee surgeries for conditions such as periprosthetic fractures, aseptic loosening caused by osteolysis, especially periprosthetic infection.
(2) The department emphasizes microsurgical repair techniques, with a range of diagnosis and treatment including: limb trauma, limb fractures, hand injuries, congenital hand and foot deformities, nerve injuries, vascular injuries, muscle cell injuries, wrist diseases, peripheral nerve diseases, osteoarthritis, lumbar diseases, as well as skin defects, flap repair, scar plastic surgery, and other related orthopedic disease treatments.
